At KULeuven's SCMlab, we work at the interface between soft matter physical chemistry and bio-inspired materials science to study complex system and realize new materials. Our primary drive is curiosity and the desire to contribute to the solution of socially relevant problems such as sustainability and energy.

Our Research Focuses on:

The realization of high-performance membranes inspired by biological membranes
Investigating the liquid-liquid phase separation of amphiphilic molecules and the significance of this process for the origin of life
The design and realization of architecturally complex materials with dynamic and reconfigurable properties
